Digital Millennium Copyright Act Notice

Our commitment to protecting intellectual property rights and maintaining a respectful gaming community

MyEntertainmentGuide respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. We've built our social casino gaming platform on original content and properly licensed materials. If you believe any content on our platform infringes your copyright, we want to know about it.

This policy explains how to notify us about potential copyright infringement and what happens next. We take these matters seriously and respond promptly to legitimate concerns.

Filing a Copyright Infringement Notice

If you're a copyright owner (or authorized to act on their behalf) and believe content on MyEntertainmentGuide infringes your copyright, you can submit a notice to us. To be effective under the DMCA, your notice must include specific information.

Required Information for Your Notice

  • A physical or electronic signature of someone authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are involved)
  • Specific identification of the material you believe is infringing and information that allows us to locate it on our platform
  • Your contact information including address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you're authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

What Happens After We Receive Your Notice

01

Initial Review

We review your notice within 48 hours to verify it contains all required DMCA information and appears to be submitted in good faith.

02

Content Action

If your notice is valid, we'll promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content while we investigate the claim further.

03

User Notification

We notify the user who posted the content about the removal and provide information about filing a counter-notice if they believe the removal was incorrect.

Counter-Notification Process

If you believe content you posted was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can file a counter-notification. This is a serious legal process with potential consequences, so you should consult with an attorney before proceeding.

Your counter-notification must include: Your physical or electronic signature, identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification, your name, address, and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located.

Important Timing Information

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we'll forward it to the original complainant. If they don't file a court action seeking an order to restrain the allegedly infringing activity within 10-14 business days, we may restore the content. This timeline follows standard DMCA procedures.

Repeat Infringer Policy

We maintain a policy of terminating accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyrights. This doesn't mean a single mistake will get you banned, but a pattern of uploading or sharing content you don't have rights to use will result in account suspension or termination.

Our gaming platform thrives on original creativity and properly licensed content. Most of our community respects intellectual property rights, and we appreciate that. When issues arise, we handle them fairly and according to legal requirements.

False Claims and Misrepresentations

Submitting a DMCA notice or counter-notification with false information is a serious matter. Under the DMCA, anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing (or was removed by mistake) may be subject to liability. This includes both copyright holders filing false claims and users filing false counter-notifications.
